DAY EIGHTEEN! [Learn the way of Dao with me at Wudang (pt1)]

6-hour ride to Wudang. Everyone K.O-ed. LOL
Lunch at a restaurant in Wudang.
Our first scenic spot, a main temple at Tai Zi Po ( Crown Prince Slope )
Tai Zi Dian ( Hall of the Crown Prince ) . It was said that the Crown Prince was sent to WuDang for self-cultivation. However, he gave up halfway and was about to leave the mountain when he was enlightened by a person to continue his self-cultivation. He was later made a immortal.
Entrance to our 2nd scenic spot, Zi Xiao Gong ( Purple Cloud Palace ).The most well-preserved building in Wudang.
Entrance to the main temple of Mt. Wudang. Many worshippers will come all the way here during 1st and 15th days of the lunar month to worship the gods. The building itself was 600 years old. Yet, the colour of the building remained bright, most of all, the outer walls of the building were actually made of wood. Therefore, I was really amazed because the wood remained hard and sturdy even after 600 years
On our way, we saw these kids practicing Kung-Fu AND I seriously mean KIDS ( 9 to 10 years old)
They have started practicing since they were very young.
They will in the end, grow up to be like him...WUDANG PRIEST!
Other students from other courses.
HEY MAN! I can do Kung-Fu too!
On our way down the slope, saw the same bunch of kids. They were having their usual training..jumping up the stairs. How determined are they. I was considering staying in China to learn Wudang Kung-Fu. LOL
Interesting signage.
More interesting signs. Water plant or fire ?? I don't know too.
At Wudang, we got to learn the way of the Dao.
More pictures before moving on to the last spot.
Looking at the enormous mountains. 对面的道士看过来~~
Meet my pet tortoise.
At this particular spot, there were two joss sticks urns that lay on a piece of man made rock that extends away from the building. One of the urn was closer to the building and there were many joss sticks there. However, there was another jade urn further away. Was told that people in the past would risk their lives just to put a joss stick onto the jade. Unfortunately, many of these people fell to their deaths. So this culture is not practiced now and a urn was placed closer to the building so that it was safer.
After visiting the last site, ran down the mountain because we were very late. Was supposed to meet at 6.30P.M, however we were about 20 mins late. The run was fun as the wind breeze blew right into my face. After boarding the bus and driving along the winding roads, we finally reached the foot of the mountain. Went to eat dinner at the same restaurant and proceed to our hotel after that.
Dave's room...with TWO GAYS!
Our hotel room. Was better than I expected.
